Grades 2-5

Visit us between 4-4:45 PM in the children's area at Westergard Library to make a special craft to celebrate Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month! This is an ideal time to explore different Asian cultures by reading diverse stories (check out our book display), learning about history and traditions, trying new foods and making culturally inspired crafts. Create a kite inspired by the Japanese Koinobori, a flying carp kite, traditionally flown above homes in Japan on Children’s Day.

Crafts available while supplies last. No registration necessary.
