Program Description

Event Details

Suminagashi (sue-me-nah-GAH-she), which means “floating ink”, is the ancient Japanese technique of creating art works using oil based ink.   Paint your picture on the surface of the water and then transfer the image to paper to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art with a kit from Xplorably.  Suminagashi is a relaxing technique that combines art with the meditative practice of mindfulness.

This is a teen program for individuals entering Grades 7-12 in Fall 2022. You will be contacted about picking up a supply kit prior to the program.
