In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, join us as we explore the traditional Mexican folk art known as amate bark paintings and make our own amate bark paintings using oil pastels.  Amate (pronounced “ah-MAH-tay”) bark painting is an ancient tradition that uses paper made from tree bark to create bright, vibrant paintings featuring scenes of daily life, history, or nature.
