The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Join the celebration marking the 70th anniversary of J.R.R. Tolkien's literary masterpiece by viewing Peter Jackson's cinematic adaptation of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, proudly presented at Piscataway Public Library:
The grand finale of this history-making trilogy sees Frodo and Samwise have finally made it to Mordor with Gollum in tow, fighting against the corrupting influence of the One Ring. Nearby, at the Black Gate of Mordor (the Morannon), Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, and Gimli lead the Army of the West to a final confrontation against the evil forces of Sauron in the battle to save Middle-Earth.
Epic battle scenes, wondrous special effects, and the poignant loyalty between the members of the Fellowship make this film a standout in the triptych as the saga reaches a satisfying conclusion.
