Event Details

New Jersey Orators students will participate in a Roundtable Discussion facilitated by Seton Hall Martin Luther King Fellows and community experts on the similarities of past and current Civil Rights occurrences, using Brown vs Topeka Board of  Education (1954) and interviewing Civil Rights activists and African American veterans.

New Jersey Orators' creative storytelling format encourages an intergenerational Roundtable Discussion on Civil Rights history while promoting unity and understanding of cultural differences.

The table discussions will be led by distinguished guests:

  • Rev. Dr. Forrest Pritchett, Interim Director of Africana Studies, Seton Hall University
  • Dr. Asante Connor,  Montclair University Provost Office for Special Programs,
  • Minister Carole Dortch-Wright, Citizens Campaign

This event is part of World on the Move, a traveling exhibition brought to you through a grant from the American Library Association (ALA) and the American Anthropological Association (AAA). World on the Move will be on display at Kennedy Library from Saturday, September 28, to Sunday, October 27.
