The Piscataway Public Library has partnered with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights to present a webinar that will help you understand your civil rights under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. Attend the event and empower yourself! 

DCR Presenter: Fannie Chan Jarvis, Community Relations Specialist

This presentation will introduce attendees to their civil rights and protections under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (“LAD”) and explain how to file a civil rights complaint through the New Jersey Bias Investigation Access System (“NJBIAS”). Presenters will discuss the steps to take when experiencing discrimination or bias-based harassment. Attendees will also learn the difference between bias incidents and bias crimes. Presenter will answer some audience questions at the end of the presentation.
