Drop in to practice reading to trained therapy dogs from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. Feel free to bring your favorite book or use one from the library. Great for reluctant or struggling readers!

Make time for nonfiction reading and low-stress socialization at this adults-only event! At a silent reading party, people just read without any distractions! You can expect the quiet company of fellow book lovers.

Learn how to cut out a vinyl sticker on our Cricut machine, and use it to decorate a pocket-sized notebook! 

This is an in-person event for teens ages 12-18. Registration is required.

Bring your imagination and use The Force to design fun Star Wars characters, droids, ships, and more with LEGO!  

Stop by the MiY Makerspace on Star Wars Day to create your own Yoda bookmark! Be one with the Force and never lose your page again.

This program is for teens and adults only.

Make and keep your own lightsaber.  Then join us for Lightsaber Academy  beginning at 2pm.  The only limits are the Force within you! 

Learn how to wield a lightsaber from 6th-degree taekwondo black belt Brian Peterson of Raritan Valley ATA.

Join us for a creative building experience. We'll supply the Legos and you supply the imagination. No registration required.

Rutgers Master Gardener Vik Meadows will explain the cultural significance as well as the science behind their companion growth. Participants will be provided with a growing kit. 

Teens entering Grades 6-12 are invited to join us at this orientation session to learn how to volunteer at the library. We will be going over basic guidelines and viewing a required training video.
