Historian Richard Moody will take us on a powerful journey through one of the most significant yet often overlooked chapters in New Jersey’s past.

With deep passion and meticulous research, Moody unearths the truth about Slavery and the Underground Railroad in New Jersey—from the harrowing origins of the transatlantic and Indian Ocean slave trades to the secret routes that brave souls took in their flight to freedom.

Through a remarkable collection of photographs of genuine Safe Houses that still stand today, he brings history to life, highlighting the courageous efforts of Quakers, the Lenape, and other freedom fighters who risked everything to aid those escaping bondage.

This is more than a lecture. It’s a tribute to resilience, humanity, and the quiet heroes of our region.

Be there. Bring a friend. Witness the history that shaped us.
