Join us in the MiY Makerspace to make a gift for Mother's Day! Makerspace staff will be on hand to guide you in making cards, coasters, tote bags, and more.

Participants will be able to make one craft per person.

Ages 2 to 5 years

Grades K-5

Using dot markers, colored pencils, crayons, and a little imagination, learn how easy, fun, and relaxing it is to create a simple mandala!

Turn your old T-shirts into a reusable tote bag! Learn how to set up and use a sewing machine while repurposing your old clothes. Participants should bring their own t-shirts that are made of a durable material.

Create gorgeous watercolor cards!! Use pre-made designs inspired by famous works of art, or create your own masterpiece. Registration is not required. This program is for individuals in grades 6-12. 

This series traces the story of Asian Americans, spanning 150 years of immigration, racial politics, and cultural innovation. It is a timely look at the role that Asian Americans have played in defining who we are as a nation.

Design your own birdhouse with artist Lynn Schwartz. Registration is required. This is an in-person teen program for individuals in Grades 6-12.

The history of Asian Americans, their contributions, oppression, and resistance, has been an integral part of American life.

Learn to play the world's premier trading card game, Magic: The Gathering.  Beginners and advanced players are welcome.  Cards will be provided, but bring your own to share if you have them.
